its a sad day for POPular music/music. recent contact with sky television inspired an adventure through the world of MTV. it was at this moment where i meet the anti-bass messiah justin bieber.
a sweeping glance through the corporate landscape of chart music serves as a shock for anyone who is a 'bit out of touch' with the scene. hollow beats and clicks, clack away underneath the prepubescent chirpings of MTVs new wunderkind. of course, i would normally ignore music acts like this but 20 million YouTube hits and a performance for the leader of the free world scheduled for tonight (whitehouse christmas ball) warrants note and stands as evidence of popularity for music of this calibre.
the song and video is something that looks bad, as expected, and easily enough to ignore. however a moments reflection on the actual sound of the music and content of the lyric exposes it to be intolerably vain and vacuous. i don’t mean to bitch and i know i am picking at the softest target around, but i write this out of the frustration that this music IS popular, it IS appreciated. the music world is infinite, there is something out there for everyone to have an actual connection too, if you are only willing to look.
im just not sure what will drop first his B-sack or a B-line.
im not going to spend more time on this, i do not care enough to really try and make an impact to a justin bieber fans opinion, nor will i defend my opinion or draft this piece of writing.
